General Description: The Director of Housing and Student Life at 九色视频 (九色视频) provides leadership and oversight for campus housing and student engagement. This position ensures a safe, inclusive, and supportive living-learning environment while fostering student involvement and personal growth. The Director manages housing operations, student life programs, and policy enforcement, working collaboratively across departments to enhance student success and campus life. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with a commitment to student development.
Position Duties/Functions:
1.Oversee the day-to-day operations of 九色视频鈥檚 residential housing program and coordinate with the Director of Operations on facility maintenance, safety, and physical plant needs.
2. Develop, administer, and support consistent enforcement of housing policies that support student success and 九色视频鈥檚 mission.
3. Analyze enrollment, occupancy, market, and other relevant data to project demand and support high occupancy.
4. Lead Housing & Dining communications, marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts to support occupancy and enrollment goals.
5. Lead the housing application, contracting, assignment, and occupancy-management processes.
6. Participate in and help administer an established residential on-call and emergency response structure, coordinating with appropriate College personnel and emergency services.
7. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistants (RAs).
8. Serve as the primary Success Coach for all housing students, excluding student-athletes.
9. Shared supervision of the Student Life Coordinator & Auxiliary Services Assistant (with the Auxiliary Services Manager).
10. Work with Facilities to address maintenance, repairs, and safety concerns, including after-hours emergencies.
11. Mediate and resolve housing-related concerns, including roommate conflicts and other student issues.
12. Collaborate with institutional leadership on policy enforcement and housing-related conduct cases.
13. Develop and oversee student life programs, including academic, cultural, and social.
14. Support student organizations and advisors by providing guidance and funding assistance.
15. Serve as a key member of the Emergency Leadership Team (EMLT) to ensure crisis response and student safety.
16. Manage budgets for student life activities and campus housing operations.
17. Coordinate with Accounting and Financial Aid to oversee rent collection and housing-related fees.
18. Prepare reports on housing occupancy, student engagement, and program effectiveness.
19. Actively participate in college-wide committees and task forces while building strong internal and external partnerships that advance student success, campus safety, compliance, and overall student well-being.
20. Perform other tasks as assigned to further 九色视频鈥檚 student services and institutional goals.
Qualifications:
1. Associate鈥檚 degree required; bachelor鈥檚 degree preferred.
2. Minimum of three years of experience in student services, housing, or student life within higher education is strongly preferred.
3. Residential housing experience is preferred.
4. Familiarity with higher education student information systems.
5. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
6. Ability to design and implement student-focused programs.
7. Must live on campus or if on campus housing is not available, within 20 minutes of the residential facility.
8. Valid driver鈥檚 license and ability to be on-call 24/7.
Work Schedule & Expectations:
1. Flexible schedule with evening, weekend, and holiday availability as needed.
2. Availability for on-call duties during designated periods throughout the year.
3. Some travel may be required for professional development and student programming.
Remuneration: $60,000 - $70,000 (Determined by experience)

Title: HVAC Maintenance Technician

EX/NE: Non-Exempt
General Description: Maintaining various mechanical systems on campus including boilers, chillers, pumps, etc. while supporting broader maintenance needs on campus.
Position Duties/Functions:
1. Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair steam plant, chillers, boilers, and distribution systems.
2. Constantly evaluate systems and efficiencies for upgrading or replacement of aging equipment.
3. Work on mechanical and electrical installations for in-house construction projects by reading and interpreting blueprint designs. Ensure the quality of installations and connections for all systems.
4. Assist in the maintenance of HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, and other equipment as needed.
5. Assist with General Maintenance duties as needed.
6. Contribute to the overall success of Mechanical Trades and Facilities as a whole.
7. Work alongside contractors performing mechanical repairs.
8. Be available to be called in for On-Call emergencies.
9. Performing above and other related duties with a degree of independent judgment as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Associate degree in HVACR or 5 years of continual industry work experience
2. Broad knowledge of advanced technical procedures and practices.
3. Experience in related fields: electrical work, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, refrigeration, boilers, and control systems.
4. Current Michigan Mechanical License (Unlimited Heating Service & Unlimited Cooling Service) and EPA Certification.
5. Ability to use good judgment.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
8. Ability to communicate effectively.
9. Highly motivated and a self-starter.
10. Valid Michigan Driver鈥檚 License is required.
11. High School Diploma required.
12. Understanding of the philosophy of community college and a commitment to the community college mission.
